Of proud Irish roots, Susan is a Maritimer who at 17 jumped to the “Big Pond” to study theatre performance at York University, in Toronto. Through career and personal life, she has performed in film, television, commercials and theatre, in the regions of  Halifax, Toronto and Montreal, she was finally led to settle in Hudson, where she is appreciative of every day in her ultra creative and talented environs. Looking forward to sharing this gift of a beautiful story with you, she is wishing you an enjoyable couple of hours and beyond, as you contemplate and perhaps reflect on what went before in the past as well as the recent history of preparing, to bring you this story. Susan was last seen at The Hudson Village Theatre as Chris Gorman in “Rumours” and at the Greenwood Living History Centre in “Pygmalion”! To you from us!!! ENJOY the Craic!!

Lois began her acting career after graduating from Dawson College’s Professional Theatre Program in Montreal. Soon after she moved to Vancouver and spent the next 20 years working in film and television and touring as a stand-up comedian. Among Lois’ 60+ film and television credits are roles opposite Robert de Nero in ‘Jacknife’, Angelina Jolie in ’Taking Lives’, Denise Richards and Dean Kane in ‘I Do But I Don’t’ and John Malkovich in ‘Afterwards’ to name a few. She has  worked in theatres across the country including Theatre Northwest, The Globe, The Arts Club Theatre and The Centaur. Lois has also used her talents to take acting to senior citizen’s residences. Sketch comedy and actors in their later years make for riotous classes and performances for their families and peers have helped many a senior keep their sense of humour, self-esteem and confidence.

Dawn Hartigan is delighted to be a part of this wonderful cast for the play Dancing at Lughnasa. In recent years, Dawn has had great pleasure participating in several Pantomimes: Wizard of Oz, Treasure Island,Red Riding Hood Strikes Back and Puss in Boots.
More recently appearing in The Full Monty and currently in rehearsals for Curtains.
Being involved in community theatre is a wonderful experience in every imaginable way.

Tamsin Horsfall (Rose Mundy) has worked as a TV/film actor and visual artist, a graduate of UCT (BA) and Concordia (BFA), she is at her happiest when completely immersed in the arts, especially story. Tamsin most recently performed in a stage reading of 7 Jewish Children at l Teesri Duniya Theatre , prior to that, she played Lucious Culpurnius in Rise Theatre’s Gracchi at Place Des Arts. In Vancouver, her juiciest parts were playing May in Sam Shepherd’s Fool For Love and a pidgeon In Birds Eye View.  While thrilled to be performing in Dancing at Loughnasa Tamsin is now convinced that a trip to Ireland extending beyond her imagination is long overdue!

Wiliam is very excited to portray Jack in this, his second role with The Hudson Players Club. After a very long absence, he returned to the stage to perform the role of Gerald in the Hudson Players Club production of The Full Monty. William studied theatre at McGill University and later at The Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York. He went on to work in Toronto appearing in Fortune and Men’s Eyes, Hay Fever, You Can’t Take It With You, and The Play’s The Thing.

Proudly Franco Ontarian Eric made the move to Montreal a little over a year ago to pursue his dream of becoming an illustrator for video games. Since then he has been in two plays put on by the lakeshore theater company and had the opportunity to reconnect with his theatrical roots.
Having both theater and visual arts to express himself through, Eric is in a constant state of flux between the two arts ensuring that one informs the other, using theater as a sort of escape from the brush when needed.

Susan is thrilled to be playing the role of Maggie in Dancing at Lughnasa, a chance for her to examine pieces of her Irish heritage. A member of The Hudson Players Club since 2019, Susan has played in three Pantos, the most recent in the role of Bobbie the Royal Page in Puss In Boots. Two summers were spent in Shakespeare in the Park, as Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing and as Bardolph in The Merry Wives of Windsor. Beyond the club, other projects included a role in Defi Canderel’s The Genie, a video for cancer fundraising and in a two-scene teaser as Penelope of The Penelopiad produced by The Hudson and Area Women’s Arts Collective. Whether a project is big or small Susan approaches each one with the same energy, commitment and enjoyment.

Steve is delighted to be back on stage after a spell in the director’s chair where he took the helm with Renovations for 6, A Clean Brush, and Puss in Boots to name but three. Now he returns to his love to be on the stage and is delighted to be in the company of such a talented cast and crew.

Donna is thrilled to be once again directing at Hudson Village Theatre with HPC. She has directed over 60 one act & mainstage plays, including 3 META nominated productions of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, The Great Gatsby, The Miracle Worker. She has directed 4 shows in the Montreal Fringe Festival. Donna is a professional actor, full member of Actra & of Playwrights Guild of Canada. Writing for stage, short film/scenes. She most recently played Mona in a Lotto Max commercial. Her screenplay Help Wanted can be seen on her IMDB profile online, she acted, directed and wrote this psychological thriller. Founder of The Moonlighters-theatre troupe performing at senior residences. Was artistic director of Stone Soup Theatre for 2 years. Donna is an animal rights activist & recently worked with Frank Metivier on the award-winning documentary, The Disconnection. Donna is a client of Bellini Talent International.

This is Alexandra’s maiden voyage as a Hudson Players Club producer. Prior projects for the Club were Hudson Day 2023 and the 75th Anniversary evening. It’s been an honor and privilege to conjure Ballybeg in Hudson as part of this marvelous team.

Shelley’s theatre career started off on stage in one of the Hudson Village Theatre Pantomimes. Quite quickly she realised her passion was off stage and moved rapidly into stage management where she has enjoyed working on some stellar productions. Enjoy the show.
